THE ARRIVAL of baby lambs has marked the beginning of springtime and the opening of a popular Worcestershire farm venue.

Little Owl Farm Park, on Owl Hill Lane, Dunhampton, is getting set for its grand reopening on Saturday (February 18).

Staff were thrilled that ahead of their 2023 opening they have welcomed a set of newborn lambs born a the farm park.

The park, which closes between January and February because of the cold weather, is set to reopen to its usual opening times: Thursday to Sunday and every day during school holidays.

They are opening during half term and cannot wait for their guests to see the new lambs.

Some will also be able to bottle feed the newborns.

Farm manager Victoria Howell said: "Spring is always my favourite time of the year at the farm.

"We usually get our first lot of lambs for half term with some who need bottle feeding.

"Once a year, we usually also get a ewe who starts lambing and people get that unique opportunity to watch.

"It is something not many people get to see.

"We also run daily talks from our farming team, and the public gets to bottle feed the lambs.

"There are always hungry lambs which need to be fed."

This year also marks the farm's tenth anniversary when exciting new installations are installed.

The first attraction will be revealed at Easter, and then staff are set to reveal yet another new attraction at the start of the school summer holidays.

Reflecting on the last ten years, Ms Howell, said: "It has been a whirlwind and a learning curve every year.

"It is always nice and you get really nice feedback, especially from people who have only just started coming back since Covid.

"We have spent a lot of time over the years updating, improving and adding play attractions.

"We are a hands-on interaction with the public as much as possible.

"We really try to push that side of this and it gives a nice opportunity to feed the lambs and have a nice photo."
