FAMILY run firm 3W Developments Ltd from Shrawley, has scooped yet another prestigious award.
The Worcestershire building company has been awarded Malvern Hills District Council's LABC Built In Quality Award 2008 in the multiple dwellings category. An award by the local authority that recognises "outstanding quality in construction work within the district" and for its high standards of construction and workmanship.
It is the only award of its type to cover all forms of building construction and 3W Developments overcame some tough competition.
The win follows the company's 2007 Federation of Master Builder of the Year Regional Category Award, taking the prize for best new homes in the Midlands.
The 3W team, run by directors John and Patricia Whiting and their son Sam, like to think they have inherited some of their skills from a longstanding family of successful builders and carpenters, including grandfather and great-grandfather on both sides of the family.
"We work very closely together to achieve success," said John Whiting. "Sam specialises in carpentry, I have many years' experience in the building trade with a sound understanding of planning and utilities and Patricia, as company secretary, uses her administrative, managerial and accounting skills to keep up with the never ending paperwork, finances and legislation.
"We only use craftsmen, tradesmen and contractors who hold the necessary certification and qualifications and who are tried and trusted".
