Alton Towers Resort has announced the return of its family-friendly Oktoberfest event.
Part of the theme park will be transformed into a Bavarian-themed destination and visitors can look forward to Lederhosen-clad hosts, live entertainment and German-themed food.
The Resort has teamed up with Rural Brewing Co, a local brewery, to create an exclusive Alton Beer for 2023.
Oktoberfest returns to Alton Towers this September
Oktoberfest starts on Saturday, September 9 and ends on Sunday, October 1 and there’s plenty for guests to do.
They can tuck into a selection of traditional bratwursts, schnitzels, Lebkuchen hearts and pretzels.
For those wanting vegan options, there are plenty to choose from including vegan bratwurst, plant-based goujons and vegan schnitzels.
Wunderbar, the event’s double-decker Alpine-themed bar, will make a return so guests can enjoy a beer whilst watching the stage shows.
Guests can also enjoy a laidback experience at the event as the Bierkeller located in Mutiny Bay’s Courtyard offers a place to relax and unwind while singing along to German tunes and sampling authentic German biers.
How to buy tickets to Oktoberfest at Alton Towers
Admission to Oktoberfest is included in the price of a theme park ticket and the event will start at 11.30am.
It will continue after the rides have closed and visitors can expect to see the whole of Mutiny Bay be transformed into a Bavarian wonderland.
Tickets can be booked via the Alton Towers website.
Guests can also extend their stay by booking a room at the theme park’s themed accommodations.
If they book a short break across select dates, they can get two-day tickets for the theme park for the price of one.
Students can get discounted entry with Student Beans and guests can take advantage of offers such as the Parent and Toddler pass for just £29 (one adult and one toddler under 5).
Guests can expect to see two stages featuring vocalists, characters and an oompah band, Oomparty, who will perform modern-day hits with a German twist.
There will be a variety of live entertainment with additional street theatre including Beer and Bubbles, Alpine Horn Man and Barrell Monks.
