An action-packed weekend of battles and hands-on displays will be coming to Worcestershire as part of a living history show to bring the past to life.
The Worcestershire Living History Show is coming to Upton this month for the first time.
The event, organised by Worcester Re-enactors, takes place at Upton-upon-Severn Showground and is due to take place on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17.
The show has a proven track record at Spetchley, near Worcester, but this represents a new venue for the show which brings in re-enactors from all over the country, recreating various historical periods and providing displays including the weaponry and military tactics of the various eras depicted.
The show will run between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children (aged five to 16) with a family ticket of £30.
Children under five go free. Previous shows have featured Romans, Vikings, various medieval re-enactors, World War Two, English Civil War, the American Civil War and the Napoleonic Wars.
The Worcestershire Living History Show, formerly the M5 Show in Spetchley, is a multi-period of re-enactment covering 2,000 years of history.
There are skirmishes and displays throughout the day, a beer tent and food, drink and other traders.
A spokesman for the event said: "It is the biggest show of its kind in the area, in our new location at the heart of Upton-upon-Severn."
