A new comedy production, The School For Scandal, is coming to Malvern Theatres as part of a major UK tour this spring.

It is directed by Seán Aydon and headlined by stage, film, and TV veteran Joseph Marcell, who is celebrated for his role as Geoffrey the butler in The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

Audiences have been told they can expect "deliciously naughty and outrageously silly antics" in this fresh take on Richard B Sheridan’s classic comedy of manners.

The play revolves around Sir Peter Teazle, played by Mr Marcell, who suspects his young wife of infidelity.

The ensuing chain of events is a masterclass in social satire and the art of gossip.

The production will run from April 2 to 6, promising an unforgettable cast of larger-than-life characters, each armed with a lacerating wit.

Apart from Mr Marcell, the cast is made up of talented actors including Garmon Rhys, Ayesha Griffiths, Emily-Jane McNeil, Alex Phelps, Lydea Perkins, Tony Timberlake, and Guy Dennys.
