The tour will include two world premieres - Miguel Altunaga’s 'Cloudburst' and Marcus Jarrell Willis’ 'Terms of Agreement' alongside Dane Hurst’s highly regarded 'Requiem'.

The tour will visit Malvern Theatres on Friday, April 19.

Marcus Jarrell Willis, the company’s artistic director, said: "Building upon the resounding success of Phoenix Dance Theatre’s last tour which fittingly reflected onthe company’s 40th anniversary, Phoenix is now poised to direct its focus forwards."

The UK tour will mark the theatre's first since 2022's '40 Years of Phoenix'.

Willis’ contribution, 'Terms of Agreement', focuses on understanding true love.

David Preston has composed a brand-new score for the Afro-Cuban choreographer Miguel Altunaga’s 'Cloudburst', a daring exploration of mankind’s relationship with tribe and community.

Hurst’s 'Requiem' is a reimagining of Mozart’s choral masterpiece, praised for its emotional response to the grief experienced globally during the pandemic.

Willis said: "The sentiments expressed through these three works will resonate differently with each individual present in the audience, allowing space for an impactful and memorable experience."

Willis, who took up the position of artistic director last year, said: "I am thrilled to be contributing my own creation to this versatile program and it has been a privilege for me working with our exceptionally gifted dancers to craft my first work for Phoenix.

"I believe that this mixed bill will speak to every audience member at each theatre we visit."
