DANCE the afternoon away and be in bed for 10pm - that's the draw of a new club night with a unique twist.

People who miss dancing but thought their days of clubbing were behind them are enjoying a new monthly event at Drummonds in New Street.

The afternoon disco is organised by Better Days Presents and it will hold its first event titled: Groove Assassin, on Saturday, March 30 to kickstart Easter weekend.

This was a way to reel in dancefloor enthusiasts who want to dance the night away without having to stay up until the early hours of the morning.

Now the nightclub is preparing to host its latest monthly daytime party event dedicated to bringing quality acts and headliners from the world of house and dance music.

Worcester News:

The event will run from 3pm until 9pm.

Headline act Nick Moss, aka Groove Assassin, is a pioneer in the UK's Soulful/Deep House Scene and The King of Edits.

Originally from Sheffield, he is well known and revered for his unique, energetic and eclectic DJ sets, carving out a name for himself with his very unique but recognisable sound both through his productions.

Mr Moss will be supported by other Worcestershire DJs Carl Reeks, Talia K and Smudged Soul - with the latter being Better Days Presents founder Steve Smith.

"It's a new monthly daytime house party for Worcester that starts on March 30," Mr Smith said.

"I am the promoter and I also DJ and produce music. With releases on labels such as Nervous, Z Records and Quantized Recordings and Simma Black."

"We have booked acts such as Sandy Rivera, Norman Jay MBE, Terry Farley, CJ Macintosh, Melvo Baptiste and Jimpster, in the past and will be doing the same going forward with both Better Days daytime parties and In My System events.

“I have also been playing Cafe Mambo parties with my good pal Tom Malam all across the UK and warming up for headliners like Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, Shapeshifters, Greg Wilson, Melvo Baptiste, and K Klass for the event companies Classic Events and New Vision."

Early bird tickets have sold out for the event, but general release remains on sale, with prices at £8.

Final release tickets are yet to be distributed.
