A DRIVER has been arrested after police found a stolen car in a Worcestershire village.

Police initially spotted the vehicle on the A451 at around 2pm yesterday (Tuesday) and saw the vehicle had stopped in Ombersley.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were made aware of a stolen vehicle travelling on the A451 around 2pm yesterday afternoon (April 9).

"Officers located the vehicle which had stopped in Ombersley.

"The driver was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle."

Eyewitnesses reported seeing three police cars on the A4133 near Ombersley Court.

Initially, they were blocking the road.
