THERE is a large police presence in Worcester city centre - but there is no need for concern.
Eyewitnesses spotted around ten officers in t he High Street in Worcester today (Thursday).
More officers were also spotted around Copenhagen Street Car Park.
It naturally led to speculation as to why officers were out in their droves but, fortunately, it was not for a major incident.
Instead, officers explained to a Worcester News reporter that there was a large police presence as officers were undertaking police training where they go out and about in public places and speak to people.
Officers confirmed that they had been present in the city centre during the morning and would be there again tomorrow (Friday) evening.
