Embrace the arrival of spring in full bloom at the Festival of Blossom at Hanbury Hall.

The event kicked off yesterday (April 15) and will continue until April 28.

The historic country retreat nestled in Worcestershire, famed for its variety of beautiful blossom trees, is offering an array of activities designed to celebrate and appreciate the beauty of these blooming displays.

Taking inspiration from the Japanese 'Hanami', or flower viewing, the National Trust invites the public to experience the enchanting spectacle of flowering including plum, pear, apple, and cherry trees.

A unique opportunity awaits visitors to engage in 'blossom bathing' amidst the walled orchard, home to 56 varieties of heritage apple trees adorned in pink-tinged blossoms.

Equipped with a yoga mat, participants are encouraged to lay beneath the apple trees, inhaling the sweet aroma and listening to the calming nature that surrounds them.

A short talk presented by gardener Nicki will inform attendees about the historic orchard.

Scheduled for April 17 and 24 at 12.15pm, this interactive talk promises to lend a greater appreciation to the vibrant apple trees.

The hall will also showcase a seasonal exhibition exploring the allure of blossoms through information and poems.

Local artist, Shirley Sloman, will conduct a 'Spring Flowers in Watercolour' art workshop on April 25 from 1pm-3pm.

Additionally, crafty activities designed to entertain and educate children are scheduled to take place in the Long Gallery on April 21 and 28 from 11am-3pm.

Here, children can create their own interpretation of a blossom tree using card and tissue paper, for a small fee of £2, with no booking required.

Also on the schedule is a storytelling session by local author Ruth Goddard who will be reading from her books 'Blossom and the Bees' on April 20, 21, and 27 from 11am-3pm at the second-hand bookshop.

Books will be available for purchase on the day.
