A young canoeist from Fladbury, near Pershore, is following in the family tradition after taking gold in a recent competition.
Matthew Train’s family includes Olympic canoeing coach David Train, five times Olympian and world champion canoeist Andy Train and canoeist Steve Train.
The 15-year-old pupil at Pershore High School took took gold in the 500m and 1,000m events of the C2 event.
Headteacher Clive Corbett said: “We are very proud of Matthew.”
