BBC Hereford & Worcester presenter Tony Fisher showed young drama enthusiasts Jess Wells and Adam Hooper how it’s done as he recorded his contribution to the musical Back To The 80s.
He was recording the dialogue spoken by an American radio presenter at the start of the show being staged by Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society Youth Section later this month.
Tony, one of the station’s popular front men, was only too pleased to take part when approached by WODYS and invited the group to send along two of the cast. The musical tracks the experiences of a graduation class at an American high school as recalled by Corey Palmer, now in his 30s.
It’s a fun show and filled with songs from the 80s. Jess plays Cyndi, one of the pupils, while Adam takes the role of narrator as the older Corey Palmer.
Back To The 80s is on at the Swan Theatre, Worcester from Tuesday, July 29, to Saturday, August 2. Tickets from Worcester Live box office at Huntingdon Hall, CrownGate, on 01905 611427.
