Prison looms again for former employee

THE persistent harassment of a human resources manager by a former employee was described as “horrific” by a deputy district judge.

Lisa Bradley was given a one-year restraining order after persistently harassing the Bosch human resources manager Alan Leech.

It banned her from going within 400m (437 yards) of Worcester Bosch Group, in Cotswold Way, Warndon, Worcester, and contacting him directly or indirectly.

Since the order was made in April, Bradley has persistently breached it and in May was sent to prison for 56 days.

She was released from prison but on Monday, June 30, was arrested for another breach of the restraining order.

On this occasion she had made 10 phone calls, six silent and four threatening, to Mr Leach.

Bradley, of Portefields Road, Tolladine, Worcester, admitted breaching the restraining order when she appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 3.

Deputy District Judge Bodfan Jenkins said: “This is a gross abuse of the privacy of this man and his family.

“All of us here appreciate just how horrific this is.”

Bradley worked two shifts at Worcester, Bosch Group five years ago through an employment agency.

While she was there it was alleged she obstructed a senior manager, and as a result she was told not to return by her employment agency.

The 37-year-old then discovered statements had been given to say the incident had not happened and she asked the company to provide copies in a bid to clear her name.

When they did not provide them, Bradley started harassing Mr Leach by phoning him and turning up at his work.

The stalking escalated when Bradley turned up at his Droitwich home and forced her way into the house.

The case was adjourned for psychiatric and pre-sentence reports but Deputy District Judge Jenkins warned Bradley could be sent to the crown court where a judge has greater powers of sentence.

“This case rightly deserves imprisonment,” he said.

“The starting point is custody and then committal to the crown court.”

Bradley was remanded in custody until Thursday, July 24, when she will return to the city’s magistrates court for sentence.
