A MENINGITIS charity is searching for volunteers to help boost fundraising and awareness of the life-threatening illness.
The Meningitis Trust is looking for people in Worcestershire and Herefordshire willing to give up their free time to help the charity.
Matt Croxall, community development officer, said volunteers could hold street collections, organise fund-raising events, and help with one-to-one support for people affected by bacterial and viral meningitis.
The infectious disease can kill and leave survivors with brain damage, deafness and, where septicaemia has set in, even loss of limbs.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer or wishing to find out about the charity’s support services should contact Mr Croxall on 0845 1204884 or email mattcroxall@meningitis-trust.org
