My son is not dead, says mum

RELATIVES of Worcester property tycoon Neil Grinnall have denied persistent rumours he has been killed in Spain.
Mr Grinnall’s property development business collapsed in 2005.
He was forced to call in the receivers after running up what is believed to be millions of pounds of debts.
Since then he is thought to have moved abroad.
Your Worcester News received a number of telephone calls from anonymous callers suggesting that Mr Grinnall had either been stabbed to death or shot at his home in Spain.
But his mother, who lives at the Waterfront, Droitwich, said the rumours were not true and another close relative, who declined to be named, said he had spoken to the 46-year-old on Saturday when he was “alive and well”.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office also had no record of any incident involving Mr Grinnall in Spain being reported to them.
Mrs Grinnall said: “I find it ridiculous and despicable when they say things that are not well-founded. The people who called must have been drunk or idle-minded. I’m more than delighted that it’s fiction and not fact but it does cause me consternation and upset.”
Mrs Grinnall was not aware of her son’s whereabouts in Spain as she has not spoken to him for two years.
She believes he left the UK in 2005.
