Nightclub man to appear in court

A MAN who had to be rescued by firefighters from the roof of a Worcester night-club has been arrested.

Police and firefighters were called to Tramps in Angel Place just after midnight yesterday after two men were spotted on the roof.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service used its aerial ladder equipment to rescue one man, who was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

It is not known what happened to the second man.

A fire service spokesman said the rescue had cost about £450.

The man has been bailed to returned to Worcester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 22.
