THE recent weather may not to be everyone’s liking, but Worcestershire is experiencing a ‘typical British summer’ according to one local weatherman.
Worcester’s weather expert Paul Damari believes there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
“Most people think of the summer as hot, but we know it is not,” he said.
“A typical summer in Britain is mixed and this has been a typical pattern so far this summer.
“This is not a Mediterranean country. When it gets very hot it is away from the norm.”
Mr Damari said brighter spells could be on the way.
“I would say there will be some more fine spells on the cards but it is still swings and roundabouts,” he said.
“I would not write off any more hot weather. It can change very quickly.”
He said the next few days would be more of the same with Sunday likely to be the best day with sunshine and temperatures up to 24C (75F), while it would be back to lower temperatures and showers on Monday.
