Tiny kitten left for dead in bag

A tiny kitten was left for dead in a carrier bag outside a Worcester supermarket.
The seven-week-old female cat had been abandoned in shopping trolley outside Sainsbury’s, in Blackpole Road, Worcester, on Thursday, July 17.
Severely dehydrated, suffering from diarrhoea and worms, she was found by a member of the public. It is the second time this month defenceless animals have been dumped in Worcester.
City RSPCA inspector Neil Tysall, who is investigating the criminal offence, is appealing for information.
“I cannot believe how anyone could do something so heartless,” said Mr Tysall.
“The person dumped this kitten leaving it to die. They have committed a criminal offence and that is why I am urging anyone with information to please come forward and help me with my enquiries. There is never any excuse to abandon an animal. There are plenty of animal welfare organisations and vets that can be contacted for help and advice.”
Earlier this month your Worcester News reported how two kittens were found in a bin bag in Langdale Park, near Windermere Drive, in Warndon. The cats survived and are now in RSPCA care.
The female kitten dumped outside Sainsbury’s is now on antibiotics and eating well.
