A woman who wrote a book about ghostly goings-on in her house will publish it this summer.

When Dawn and Andy Bradshaw and their children moved into their house in Barnards Green, Malvern, three years ago they sensed something odd about the place.

Mrs Bradshaw said: “We could not settle. There was a strange atmosphere. We redecorated but something was not right.”

They got on with their lives but about two-and-a-half years later things became even weirder – Mr Bradshaw started seeing and hearing ghosts.

It started one night when he woke up in the early hours of the morning and heard children laughing and playing on the landing – but his five youngsters were all tucked up in bed and sound asleep.

Mrs Bradshaw said: “It happened about three times in the space of two months. I thought he had dreamt it or imagined it but after that I thought it was not his imagination so we got in touch with a medium.”

Malvern-based medium Anna Galliers visited the house and said it was very active with ghosts – particularly Victorian children.

Mr Bradshaw said: “I have seen girls in Victorian dress with ringlets. I was in the bath one day and when I looked to my right I saw a small girl with ringlets standing right next to the bath. She just smiled and when I looked again she was gone.”

Since then the couple and their children, aged from 10 months to 13 years, say they have seen lots of children. Not only that, but they also sense Mrs Bradshaw’s late parents in the house.

Now Mrs Bradshaw has decided to put the experience down on paper for people to ready about.

She is set to publish her first book, called A Haunted House In Malvern, this summer. She has researched, written and published the book herself.

She said: “I am over the moon with it. It has been blood, sweat and tears throughout but it has been worth it. I had to do it.

She is now planning a second book of stories about other people’s ghost experiences in Malvern.
