A WRITER from Worcester has had her short story about a ghostly miner published in an anthology.
Wendy Dedicott, previously a teacher at Somers Park Infant School in Malvern Link for 23 years, wrote The Mysterious Miner.
The story is a haunting tale about the vision of a miner, who died 250 years ago down a Welsh mine.
The story has now been published in an anthology called Wild Flowers.
“It’s about a man who was hiking on a mountain,” said Miss Dedicott, of Bromwich Road, St John’s.
“He was able to walk into a lead mine where there had been this disaster.
"It’s a ghost story.”
Miss has also had 200 poems published.
