Following last year's record high of 67 per cent, students at Pershore High School have topped this with an A* to C pass rate of 69.6 per cent.
In addition to this improvement, it means that a five A* to C GCSE pass rate comfortably in excess of 60% has been achieved for the seventh successive year. Equally impressively, over 99 per cent of youngsters achieved at least one A* to G pass.
The subject pass rate is 72 per cent (A* to C) and 99 per cent (A* to G).
The average point score per candidate is 405, and per subject entry is over 41.
This represents very pleasing value added given the students' attainment on entry.
Head teacher Clive Corbett said: "Again this year we are celebrating a record-breaking year with the school’s highest 5 A* to C pass rate in its history, and an A* to C subject pass rate well in excess of 70 per cent.
These global figures of course mask a huge number of extraordinary individual results, achieved by hard working students supported by very committed staff. I would like to congratulate all concerned.”
