SIXTY six per cent of students achieved five or more A* - C passes which is once again the best ever year for GCSE, building upon last year’s success.
Almost half - 49.5 per cent - gained five or more A* - C grades including English and maths which is a significant improvement on the previous year.
Maths results leapt forward last year and this has been maintained, whilst English results have risen to meet the challenge.
A total of five students achieved 11 or 12 A* and A grades, with 13 gaining eight or more A* or A grades.
Headteacher Caroline Browne said: "Following our excellent A-levels this is proving to be an outstanding year for results at EHS.
"These GCSE results are the best ever for the school and show our continued commitment to achieving the very best for our students. What success!
"Very well done to them and to the teachers who have motivated them to achieve it."
