Step into the past with open day

AN archaeology open day with the aim of bringing the past to life is being held near Worcester.
Visitors at Top Barn Farm, in Holt, will be able to view the excavation of a 2,000-year-old Iron Age and Roman farm and enjoy a series of exhibitions.
There will be tours around a recently excavated Roman corn-drying oven and ditches which surrounded the farm, and interesting finds will be on display.
Other exhibitions will explore the history of the county from the Ice Age onwards.
Archaeological project director Robin Jackson said: “This is a great opportunity for everyone to see the excavation of a Roman farm set in the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire.”
There is ample car parking and admission to the open day on Saturday is free.
Doors open at 10.30am and the day finishes at 4pm.
