A FORMER Worcester basketball coach found guilty of harassment has been made subject to an indefinite restraining order.

George Fraser-Barker bombarded his ex-mistress with letters and was seen in the street where she lived after their 13-year relationship ended.

The 49-year-old, previously of Egremont Gardens, Warndon Villages, Worcester, has now been ordered to stay away from Emma-Jane Gardner.

At Hereford Crown Court, Fraser-Barker - who was also found guilty of two counts of intimidating a witness - was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for 18 months.

Speaking after the case, Miss Gardner said: “I have to get back to living my life now.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me, to PC Sarah England and Jo Sanders from the Domestic Violence Unit.”

She also thanked the charity Women’s Aid for their ongoing support.

Fraser-Barker, the former coach of Worcester Chiefs team, now lives in Haywood Heath, West Sussex.
