A schoolgirl from Worcester needs your votes to be named Miss Teen Princess 2009.
Nunnery Wood High School pupil Tileesha Steer entered the beauty contest for fun and was amazed when she found out she had been chosen from 5,000 entrants to be in the final 50.
The 15-year-old, of Winchcombe Drive, Blackpole, is now representing Worcester in the nationwide contest and needs the public vote to win.
She said: “I entered last December when I was at the Clothes Show Live. I thought it would be a bit of fun and, to be honest, I didn’t really think anything would come of it.”
When the pageant organisers invited Tileesha to London for a professional photoshoot she was “ecstatically happy, nervous and excited all at the same time”.
“My photoshoot was amazing,” she said.
“I loved every minute of it; getting my hair and make up done, and meeting new people. It was such an unbelievable experience I’ll never forget.”
Fifty girls, aged between 13 and 15, are now vying for public votes, but whatever happens Tileesha is grateful for getting this far.
“Although it would be my absolute dream to make it to the finals, I’m proud of getting this far,” she said.
“As I’m representing Worcester I would love local people to show there support and vote for me.”
To support Tileesha text TILEESHA STEER to 84205 or call 0901 6561530 and select option 23.
