WORCESTERSHIRE County Council officers have taken part in a climate change conference in London.
Staff contributed to a Tackling Climate Change Beacon Learning Exchange event in the capital attending workshops on energy management, engaging schools, encouraging residents to use alternative transport, and designing energy efficient public buildings.
Liz Alston, council sustainability officer, said: “Our day in London gave us the opportunity to showcase the work that the council is doing to tackle climate change and we were pleased that other councils are keen to learn from what we have been doing."
The authority is one of six to have been awarded Beacon Authority Status for its work towards tackling climate change. For more visit worcestershire.gov.uk/beacon
