Man arrested after motorcyclist is killed

THIS was the scene of a fatal crash which killed a motorcyclist.
The silver Yamaha motorbike was in collision with a black Audi shortly after noon yesterday on the B4090 at Mere Green, near Droitwich. The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and taken to Worcester police station for questioning.
The County Air Ambulance was among medics to attend.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Despite the best efforts of ambulance personnel, nothing could be done to save him (the motorcyclist) and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out.
