OUR October meeting took place on a lovely autumn morning at the Pumphouse.

Our speaker Alan Thornton spent 15 years running a hotel by the seaside, accompanied by his family.

He gave us an informative, entertaining and humorous account of his adventures doing this arduous but rewarding occupation – we thoroughly enjoyed his visit and he answered many of our questions.

After our refreshments we discussed our business matters.

Arrangements have been made for a lunch and also our Christmas celebration lunch to be held in December.

The autumn council meeting will be held at Stourport-on-Severn and the Worcester group meeting at Kempsey, both excellent occasions.

In the meantime there is a Call My Bluff evening and a bowling morning in association with our twin WI Lickhill.

After drawing the raffle the meeting ended at 12 noon.

We meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 10am.

Phone 01905 454478 for information.

All welcome.
