STAFF at Worcestershire web company are busy preparing their vocal chords for a huge challenge.
Hallow-based web services company Postcode Anywhere will be entertaining guests at the Age Concern Christmas lunch in Astwood this month.
The lunch club usually has a local school to help them but none were available, so the company stepped in.
Staff had already offered to serve food and wait on tables at the event on Wednesday, December 17, at Bilford Court.
But now they are also forming a choir to sing Christmas songs, assisted by musician Dave Arthur, to perform to 45 lunch guests.
Postcode Anywhere’s Rachael Mackwell said: “I’ve opted for serving food, as anyone who has heard me sing will tell you I would not enhance the company’s reputation as my vocal skills, or lack of them, have long been the cause of negative comment.
“Still, everyone here has been really sporting as we do not want to let Age Concern down and we’re planning to give the guests a concert that will be truly memorable.”
David Clark, of Age Concern, said: “It is just magical and very welcome they are doing this for us and they are even going to be giving members a gift at their own expense, which is just fantastic.”
