YEAR five and six pupils at Suckley Primary School had a surprise from Prince Charles.
After writing letters to the Prince of Wales congratulating him on his recent 60th birthday, each pupil received an individual, personalised response.
A school spokesman said: “Pupils were very excited to be presented with their letters and they were eager to open their Buckingham Palace-postmark envelopes.
“As Prince Charles has a particular interest in rural affairs, the pupils told him all about their village school and it’s surroundings.
Prince Charles said that he had enjoyed learning all about their lives in Suckley and how pupils were now very keen to write more letters during their literacy lessons.”
