GRAMMY award-winning rapper Coolio is coming to Worcester, hot on the heels of his Celebrity Big Brother appearance.

The American hip-hop artist, who found fame in 1995 with the hit single Gangsta’s Paradise, will perform live at Tramps nightclub in the city centre on Friday, February 27.

Hailing from the notorious Los Angeles district of Compton, he recently took part in Channel 4’s controversial reality show Celebrity Big Brother, which saw him locked in a house with television presenter Ulrika Jonsson among others.

Dean Hill, manager of the club in Angel Place, said it was a coup getting the star to perform in Worcester.

“We’re a big city. If people go to Birmingham or Bristol they expect to see big acts and that’s what we’re trying to do for Worcester,” he said. “I think it’s going to be really popular.”

Your Worcester News has teamed up with Tramps to give away 10 pairs of VIP tickets.

Winners will get to meet Coolio and have their picture taken with him.
