SIR – Why can’t Worcester City perform at home? Probably because it must be like playing at a funeral such is the feeling of doom and gloom that surrounds the Lane.

I’ve been watching my team through thin and thinner for the last 33 years and cannot remember anything like this. The faithful fans are 100 per cent behind the team but we are sick to death of Dave Boddy and his associates who are killing the club. Take a poll now and I bet you 50 per cent of season ticket holders will not be renewing.

I realise some people are trying hard to change the loss-making business but the easiest remedy would be for Boddy & Co to go. I know dozens of fans would be back immediately.

Congratulations to Richard Dryden and the team because we could easily be in the same position as Bangor or Fisher but they have battled on well.

Boddy, go now before City become another club on your list of failures.

Jem Lenton,
Worcester.
