FOOD producers in the two counties have made it onto the shortlist for an award which recognises industry excellence.
Nine Worcestershire firms and five from Herefordshire are in the running for a Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF) diamond award after judges whittled down entries.
The awards were launched last year to mark HEFF’s 10th anniversary as the regional food group for the West Midlands and celebrate the fantastic food and drink available in the region, which covers Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Birmingham and The Black Country.
There are nine product category awards up for grabs and the winners of each section will then go head-to-head for the coveted Special Diamond Award for taste. Three other special awards will recognise business achievements – grow, innovate and excel.
The winners will be announced at the awards dinner and presentation on Saturday, May 16, due to be held at a venue to be confirmed. For more details about the awards or to book tickets, call 01746 785185 or visit heff.co.uk.
