CHILDREN from a Worcestershire school spent a fun day searching for bats and newts.
As dusk fell youngsters, staff and parents from Clifton uponTeme Primary School in Clifton upon Teme, near Martley, went looking for nocturnal creatures living on school grounds.
On the hunt they found smooth newts, great crested newts and pipistrelle bats.
“We are very fortunate to have parents with skills and knowledge that they generously share to make this sort of event possible,”
said headteacher Debbie Mitchell.
“It was great to see dads as well as mums here at school learning alongside their children.”
Before the hunt, pupils made bat and newt masks and listened to sound recordings from nature.
