BROOKLYN Motors, which has branches in Worcester and Malvern, has gone into administration.

The group operates Ford, Toyota, Skoda and Mazda franchises and has revenues of over £170 million.

It suffered heavy losses over the last few years and was affected by the general downturn in the car industry during 2008.

Part of the business, including Ford sites in Worcester and Redditch, has been sold to Vertu Motors plc.

Ford sites in Malvern and Kidderminster were sold in a separate deal, saving 50 jobs.
