MEMBERS of Upton in Bloom will be hard at work this week ensuring the town looks its spectacular best when Heart of England in Bloom judges visit on Friday.
The judges will arrive at the King’s Head at 10am before finishing their tour in the Old Churchyard at 11.30am, when residents are welcome to join them. Entries in Upton in Bloom’s wellie garden competition should also be brought along for judging by the Heart of England in Bloom judges.
Upton in Bloom chairman Jackie Surtees hopes the town can claim another gold award this year.
“I think the town looks even better than ever and lots of people walking by have said how lovely it all looks,” she said.
Anyone can join a litter-pick meeting outside the King’s Head at 6pm this evening.
