A GAS tanker has overtuned, injuring the driver and blocking a Worcestershire road.
The tanker, carrying seven tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, overturned on the B4084 at Hawbridge at 8.19am today.
The road, between Windmill Hill and the Hawbridge junction, remains closed fire crews - including an Environmental Protection Unit - have put up an 800 metre cordon.
The driver has received treatment for a cut to his arm.
Group manager Pete Benkwitz said :"We are currently monitoring the situation for gas leaks and have put an eight-hundred metre exclusion zone in place. "The road is closed and it is expected that the exclusion zone will remain in place for some time."
The area has not been evacuated.
It is not thought that any other vehicle was involved.
