Museum celebrates award

THE Worcester Museum of Freemasonry has been awarded a certificate for its impressive and well-cared for collection.

The Museums, Libraries and Archives (MLA) Council praised the masonic jewels, embroidery and medals as well as the work the Freemasons society has done to make its collection at the Worcester Masonic Hall in Rainbow Hill understandable.

Museum curator John Hart said: “It is very exciting to get this certificate and it recognises the standard of our museum.”

Andrew Morton, chairman of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, said: “Being awarded accreditation is an impressive achievement.”
