Ledbury won gold in the town category for the third year in a row, while in Herefordshire Bromyard bagged gold for the fifth consecutive year.
Upton in Bloom committee chairman Jackie Surtees said she was delighted. She said: “It is really good, everyone is very pleased indeed. A lot of hard work went in and it was a great effort from everybody this year. We’re thrilled with another gold award and it is nice to win our category again.”
The Upton in Bloom committee will be celebrating this year’s success before turning their attentions to 2010 in the coming weeks.
“We already have a few things in mind for next year,” said Mrs Surtees.
In Malvern, John Jordan said he was “over the moon” with the verdict from judges and thanked the townspeople for their strong support this year.
