BRIDES-to-be will feel extra special when they visit the bridal department of a charity shop in Worcester.
Thanks to manager Phil Arnold the St Richard’s Hospice shop in Mealcheapen Street has been transformed to arrange wedding outfits and accessories into different decades.
Mr Arnold said: “We have retro dresses from the 1970s and 1980s to a stunning contemporary gown which was purchased new and never worn, together with train and gloves. We have about 50 pairs of wedding shoes, 40 hats in various colours, headbands, veils and even stockings.
“One bride-to-be was so impressed she bought a wedding dress from us, even though she already had one. It has now been relegated as an evening gown.”
Worcester ladies and gentleman’s outfitter Armstrongs in Sansome Walk has given the shop a selection of menswear which Mr Arnold said would save bridegrooms a lot of money.
