Art exhibits and football match mark special day


AN art exhibition and a football competition helped kick-start a series of events being staged to mark World Mental Health Day.

The exhibition at the Cotswold Gallery at the University of Worcester opened at noon yesterday and a football tournament took place between 10.30am and 4.30pm at Perdiswell leisure centre, Worcester, organised by the Worcestershire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

Events continue today which is World Mental Health Day, including an event titled ‘walk a mile for health’ between 10am and noon from the Robertson Centre in Kidderminster.

This is organised by NHS Worcestershire health improvement staff and a coffee morning between 10am and 1pm at Wallace House Community Centre, Evesham, organised by Evesham MIND.
