AN investigation among mental health staff in Worcester has been launched after a man fell to his death from a multi-storey car park in Worcester city centre.
Worcestershire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust has confirmed an internal investigation looking into the circumstances surrounding Roland Robbins’ death is now underway.
Mr Robbins was a patient with the trust who had been discharged.
A statement from the trust said staff were “extremely saddened” to hear about Mr Robbins’ death and added it would co-operate fully with the police’s investigations.
A spokesman said: “It would be inappropriate for us to comment further until we have established all the facts about this tragic event. Our thoughts are with all those affected.”
We previously reported in your Worcester News how 50-year-old Mr Robbins, who lived in the city, died after falling from the NCP car park in Friar Street on Wednesday, October 7.
An inquest into his death was opened by Worcestershire coroner Geraint Williams on Tuesday and adjourned for further reports.
