THE two men killed in a head-on car crash in Herefordshire have been named.

Eighteen-year-old Lewis Mather, of Adforton, and 46-year-old Christian Baker, of Bucknell, died when the cars they were driving collided on the A4110 Wigmore to Adforton road, in Herefordshire, at 7.30pm on Friday.

Both men had became trapped in their vehicles.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Anyone who saw a blue Nissan Almera or a blue Mercedes E300 travelling in the area prior to the crash is urged to call PC Steve Wood of the Roads Policing Team based at Hereford Police Station on 0300 3333000.

The exact cause of the collision is unclear.

Post mortem examinations are due to take place this week.
