CASH Converters in Worcester is celebrating after helping to raise £100,000 for children’s charity Dreams Come True in just one year.

Staff from the store in Foregate Street joined other Cash Converters stores across the country to help children with life-threatening and long-term illnesses see their dreams come true.

David Patrick, chief executive at Cash Converters, said: “We are so pleased to have raised this incredible amount for Dreams Come True. It’s a great achievement and every Cash Converters store should be really proud of the hard work they’ve put in to help reach this figure.”

However, the company has not stopped at the £100,000 mark as it held an online charity auction through its website, cashconverters. co.uk/dreamscometrue, at the beginning of the month with every penny made going to the charity.

Cash Converters stores, including Worcester, donated items to the auction while celebrities including Joe Calzaghe, Vernon Kaye and Dame Kelly Holmes also donated items.
