WITLEY Court, near Worcester, is staging a host of Halloween events to entertain visitors during next week’s half term.

Children visiting the site throughout the holiday will be invited to follow a series of clues around the Woodland Trail to uncover a secret password, which they can then whisper to a member of the English Heritage team to receive a delicious sweet treat.

Meanwhile, the education room will be decorated with cobwebs, pumpkins and broomsticks to provide a spooky setting for children to complete a number of Halloween-themed activity sheets.

October is also the last chance visitors will have to see the spectacular Perseus & Andromeda fountain firing this year, with the huge central jet shooting up into the air every hour on the hour from 11am to 4pm (except 1pm on weekdays).

Admission to the event is £5.80 for adults, £4.90 for concessions and £2.90 for children, or £14.50 for a family.
