CUSTOMERS at a Worcester opticians may be rubbing their eyes in disbelief on Friday when they come face to face with a sea of pink.
Staff at the city’s Specsavers store will be dressed in pink and sporting pink feather boas while pink cakes and pink lemonade will be on sale.
As October is Breast Cancer awareness month, the Broad Street store’s staff have arranged the colourful display to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Care.
The store’s director Alan Richards said: “Unfortunately, breast cancer affects some one in nine women in the UK so, as a team, we’re keen to help fund-raise for this well deserved charity.
“We hope that people will come along and support us on the day.”
Visitors to the store will be able to make donations to the charity, which provides information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by breast cancer.
