WORCESTER’S Magic Whiteboard team was joined at the Baby Show in London’s Earl’s Court by one of its Dragons’ Den investors Deborah Meaden, for the launch of the company’s latest product the Magic Blackout Blind.
This is a quick and easy way to completely blackout windows, which helps parents and children sleep longer and stops all light.
Ms Meaden and co-Dragon Theo Paphitis backed the fledgling company run by husband and wife duo Neil and Laura Westwood, of Warndon Villages, to the tune of £100,000 after they appeared on the television show last year.
The Magic Whiteboard is a statically-charged, re-usable whiteboard that can be stuck on to walls, glass, wood and wallpaper without the need for any drawing pins, tape or glue.
“We also launched our Magic Blackboard at the Baby Show,” said Mr Westwood.
“This is the new black version of Magic Whiteboard. You write on this using chalk and chalk markers. It was so popular that we sold out.”
Magic Whiteboard is going to the national final of the Chamber of Commerce Award in London on November 26 after being named the West Midlands’ most promising new business of the year.
