Climate Change Part 1

Recent snow 2010 Recent snow 2010

THE worlds climate continues to swing from warm to cold, wet to dry through thousands and millions of years. Taking a glance back through the climatic records we can pick out times of warming, with sudden changes to colder conditions over a period of just a decade or two. This indicates that man made influences are in play, but we must also take natural variations in our climate into account as well.

We have known that warm spells with rising temperatures, can be followed by a cluster of much colder, snowy winters with icy blasts in some parts of the world, whilst other locations in the world at the same time experiences warmer than average temperatures.

So over the coming weeks, I shall look at these natural variations in our climate and also changes in our climate caused by man. The overall trend is for rising temperatures worldwide, but we must understand that although the trend is upward, blips can occur within the weather machine with conditions turning colder or wetter, the past several summers and the past two winters has shown these variations in all it's glory.

Next Week: Climate Change Part 2

Glossary: Blizzard: A wind storm in which large amounts of snow are blown into the air from the surface and carried at high speed.

Utter nonsense! There is no man made influences at play and this is not a 'blip'! We're heading into a new mini ice age. Yet you still spout this rubbish about tempretures going up? Tempretures have been GOING DOWN since 2000. Or is it the fact that your job relies on this scam?

Everybody else, google Climategate and you'll see/read just how much of a scam this has become!

Real climate experts, rather than government propagandists, draw attention to the influence of the sun and its spots, cosmic rays, clouds, the oceans ... and their interactions which are still improperly understood.

It is the sheer arrogance of pseudo-scientist climate people which amazes me. Global average temperature increased by only 0.6 deg C during the whole of the twentieth century. Since 2003, it has fallen back to the 1996 level and will probably fall still further after this cold spell. This is well within the limits of natural variability. So where's the fire?

The 'hockey stick scandal' shows that green poodles at the UEA/CRU and the UK Met Office conspired with Michael Mann and others in the USA to create alarmist "data" suggesting excessive warming in response to political and business pressures, not forgetting personal remuneration. The scientific evidence for run-away global warming was not there so they decided to create it!

It amazes me that a respectable paper like WN gives space to this bigoted rubbish in the guise of an educational series which wholly misrepresents the real position.
