A LITERATURE graduate from Worcester is hoping for success in Hollywood with her latest novel.

Victoria Connelly’s book Molly’s Millions was published last year and there has already been some interest from US film makers.

Academy award-winning actress Hilary Swank, whose company, 2S Films, adapted the bestselling novel by Cecelia Ahern, PS: I Love You, has expressed an interest in the film rights for the book about a lottery winner who gives it all away.

Mrs Connelly, who graduated in 1992 from Worcester College (now the University of Worcester), now lives in Ruislip, West London.

She said: “It’s tremendously exciting. My first book published in Germany about a group of tiny guardian angels was made into a film in 2008 and my husband and I flew out to Berlin and were invited to be extras in it. I think it’s every writer’s dream to see their book given the big screen treatment.”

Mrs Connelly has just signed a new two-book deal in the UK with HarperCollins and a three-book deal with a US publisher.

Molly’s Millions is published by Allison & Busbuy priced £6.99.
