A hearty effort to raise money

GYM fanatics are pledging to keep their hearts healthy by doing regular exercise this month in Worcester.

Four fitness centres in the city are ‘going red for heart’ as part of the British Heart Foundation’s national heart month.

Members of the Energy Health and Fitness Club, Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, PF2 Health Club and Butlers Health and Fitness Centre will not only be doing exercise, but asking friends and family to sponsor them.

All the money raised will go to the Worcester Balloon Appeal, which is hoping to raise £38,000 to buy an intra-aortic balloon pump for cardiac patients at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

For details, call 01562 740081.
